He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Bailey of Washington and Ann Theodora Harte Bailey of Portsmouth; his brother Thomas Bailey III of Washington; and his stepfather Paul Garver. He is survived by: his significant other Mary Pendleton Bailey of Chesapeake; his children, Jodie Shields of Columbia, Larry Theodore Bailey, Jr. of Currituck County and Bonnie Bailey Hartsell (George) of Chesapeake; his sisters, Phyllis Speidell (Walter), Barbara Bailey Smith (Phil) and Shirley Bailey Sasser (Eric); his sister-in-law Linda Bailey of Portsmouth; and his grandchildren, Caitlyn Stephens, Bailey Hartsell, Abbie Hartsell, Buck Bailey, Anna Hartsell and Sierra Bailey. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
