It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Lee Smith of Portsmouth, Virginia, born in Honolulu, Hawaii, who passed away on November 29, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Penaroza and Lillian Penaroza; her parents-in-law, Phyllis Seekatz and Louis Seekatz; her son Kevin Norrell; her siblings, Earl Penaroza, Nick Penaroza, Robert Scott, Thomas Smith, Linda Penaroza, Lovelyline Qwock and Adele Penaroza; and her brother-in-law Donald Kwock.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald Smith; her children, Kristy Simmons (Micah), Ashley DeHart, Jennifer Wiley and James Norrell (Rebecca); her grandchildren, Kylie, Lilly, Brooklyne, Spencer, Liam, Britton, Laekyn, Jase and Braylon; her great grandchild Ry'Miyah; her sister Maile Laau; and her sister-in-law Lisa Hunter. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
