We bid farewell to Leslie Harris (Portsmouth, Virginia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 31, 2025 at the age of 91. Leslie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Lee Harris and Wortley Davis Harris; his siblings, Audrey, Carolyn, Hazel, Edna, Evelyn, Robert, William and Earl; and his son-in-law Ralph Sweetland.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia "Rose" Harris; his children, Brenda Sue Harris, Mary Ellen David, Dana Lynn Beaty (David) and Leslie Alton Harris, Jr. (Joni); and his siblings, Sandra Boslego and James Harris. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sturtevant Funeral Home (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A reception was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sturtevant Event Center.
