The passing of Lois Silk Gardner of Portsmouth, Virginia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 18, 2025 at the age of 81. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Lois may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lois touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas P. Silk and Lois W. Silk; and her husband Edward Richard Gardner. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Gardner (Frank Doleman III) of Portsmouth and Thomas Gardner (Lori) of Forest, VA; and her grandsons, Colin, Ethan and Aidan. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
