He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Spence and Jeanne Spence; his siblings, Lela Steiner and David Spence; his father-in-law Kenneth Wiggs; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Steiner and Michael Wiggs.

He is survived by: his wife Karen; his mother-in-law Lorreta Wiggs; his sister-in-law Beth Wiggs; his nieces, Megan Wiggs, Annora Steiner and Lorna Waghalter (Meyer); his nephew Mark Spence (Alisha); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hailey, Lindsay, Lyla, Boden and Trent. He is also survived by co-workers, church family, and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Jarvisburg Church of Christ Chair Fund.
