Olivia M. Joyner Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on July 4, 2021, at the age of 93, Olivia M. Joyner (Portsmouth, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Watts Creekmur and Winfield E Creekmur; her husband Carver C Joyner; her sons, Michael Joyner and Carver Joyner Jr.; her brothers, Wendell Creekmur, Allen Creekmur and Winfield Creekmur; her cousin Henry Southall; and her siblings-in-law, Mildred Creekmur, Mary Smith, Betty Wilson, Mildred Southall and Edward Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Denise Joyner West and Wendell Creekmur Joyner; her son-in-law Alfred West; her grandchildren, Candace Moody, Michelle Joyner, Tasha Joyner, Dominique Joyner, Justin West and Josiah Joyner; her great grandchildren, Totiyanna Joyner, Shontele Madison, Kamal Knight, Jr., Clavone Joyner, Kyle Joyner and Kyndle Joyner; her great great grandchildren, Cayden Jones and Mason Jones; her nieces, Ann Vaughan, Pamela Southall and Pat Smith; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Pamela Carmen, Patricia Vaughan, Greg Vaughan and Kevin Vaughan. She is also survived by relatives and friends.

She remained there for 15 years before moving into an Alzheimer's nursing facility two-and one-half months ago.
