Rick Herrod Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on February 4, 2026, Rick Herrod of Portsmouth, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Rick farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Rick is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Herrod; his children, Donna Coleman (Joe) and Chris Herrod (Leigh Ann); his brother Ronnie Herrod; his niece Kayce Webster (Ben); and his grandchildren, Mitchell, Abby and Christina.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scholarship Fund of The Catholic Club.
