She was predeceased by: her father James Smith Ritchie. She is survived by: her children, Brenda S. Hostetler (Hal) of Portsmouth, VA, Judith S. Turner (Garry) of Burleson, TX, Lorene S. Scott (Otis) of Christiansburg, VA and Richard E. Skelton of Kitty Hawk, NC; and her grandchildren, Daniel, Diane, Shawn, Matt, Cathy, Christy, Becky, Lori and Lisa. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Children's Home of Virginia Baptists, Inc., 6900 Hickory Road, Petersburg, VA 23803 (Cofounded by her father).
