She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Elias S Hardge, Sr. and Clara E. Hardge; her child Claude D. LeGrand, Sr.; her brother Rev. Arthur Hardge; and her stepson Melvin Joyner (Lorraine).

She is survived by: her former husband Robert Colston LeGrand; her children, Robert C. LeGrand Jr. (Gloria), Marsha Lee (James) and Later; her spouse Johnnie R. Joyner; her daughter Elverna Freeman (Maurice); and her siblings, Elias Hardge Jr. and Marjorie Hardge. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
