With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen Stephenson (Portsmouth, Virginia), born in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 4, 2025 at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulysses Stephenson and Margaret Beatrice Bishop Stephenson; his daughter Brandi Ciji Alvin; and his grandson DeNard Stephenson, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Rebbie Warren Stephenson; his children, Denard and Norman Stephenson; his siblings, Paulette Echols, Michelle Hackley (Alan), Hugh Stephenson Ulysess (Aris) and Reverend Rickey Long, Jr.; his sisters-in-law, Lisa Warren and Minister Carol Goodman; and his great grandchildren, Romelo Stephenson, Keontae Dudley Jr. and Zy'Asia Pegues. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
