He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Carroll Kaufman and Margaret T. Kaufman; his son Christopher Hunter Kaufman; and his wife Carolyn Williams Kaufman. He is survived by: his son Courtney R. Kaufman (Theresa); his granddaughter Sarah M. Kaufman; his brother-in-law James Allen Williams (Glenda); Elizabeth Kaufman Blake. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Loving Funeral Home Churchland Chapel (3225 Academy Ave, Portsmouth, VA 23703).
Memorial Contributions be made to the Masonic Home of Virginia, Highland Springs United Methodist Church, or Centenary United Methodist Church.
