He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine E. Gunter; and his parents, John Gunter and Christeen Gunter. He is survived by: his sister Annie Ruth; his children, Christine Moore (John), Nancy Gunter and Keith Gunter (Laurel); his grandchildren, Edward Gunter (Melissa), Virginia Gunter (Christian Jemmison), Sheela Lewis (Nick), Holly Daugherty (Joe) and Joseph Kowalchick; and his great grandchildren, Edward Jr. (E. J.), Patrick, Lauren, Joshua, Benjamin and Caleb.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that a donation be made to St. Timothy's Lutheran Church Foodbank.
