He was predeceased by: his wife Mary McPeak Knaus; and his parents, William Knaus and Gertrude Knaus. He is survived by: his daughters, Trisha Buchanan and Jennifer Johnson (Thomas); his sister Jeanne Musell; his grandchildren, Katie Buchanan, Madeline Johnson of Thomas Johnson, III. and Mallory Johnson; and his great grandchild Banks Black. He is also survived by his many nephews and nieces.
