He was predeceased by: his parents, James Brown and Etta Brown; his children, Stephen Brown and Lisa Brown Isaac; and his grandson Phillip Isaac.

He is survived by: his wife Helen W. Brown; his children, Diane Brown and David Brown; his son-in-law Roger Isaac; his sister Jean Divers; and his grandchildren, Christopher Brown, Alan Isaac, Stephanie Brown and Katie Brown-Pineda (Enrique). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
