She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Meade and Virginia Meade (Robinson); her former husband Harold Junior Steele; her husband Burlin Cantrell; and her son Johnny Steele.

She is survived by: her granddaughter Leanna; her siblings, William Meade (Helen), Tollie Jasper Meade (Jeannie), Demos Meade, Kay Perry (Darius-Farnham) and Renee Melissa Bell (Mike); her daughter-in-law Denise Steele; and her close friends, Karen Bailey and Teresa Caudill. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
