He is survived by: his significant other Becky Shortt; his daughters, Mady Steffey of Pound, VA, Chloe Akers of Pound, VA and Macie Akers of Pound, VA; his father Guy Akers (Colleen Stanley); his brother Brandon Akers (Amanda); his aunts, Linda Greene-Pound and Noveda Davis- of Maryland; and his nephews, Nicholas and Brian Buchanan.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Baker Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
