He is survived by: his wife Kathi Cantrell Pennington; his mother Magoline Cantrell; his brother Tim Pennington (Teresa Rose); his brother-in-law Michael Leach; and his sibling's children, Daniel Leach, David Leach, Nick Pennington, Aaron Pennington, Matthew Mullins, Beth Fleming, Jessica Bolling, Alexis Pennington, Lauren Pennington and Hannah Pennington.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 5:00 PM and on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel (11316 Riverside Dr, Pound, VA 24279). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens (5650 Powell Valley Rd, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219).
