She was predeceased by: her husband Delmas Earl Hollyfield; her parents, McKinley Belcher and Jane Anderson Belcher; and her siblings, Ruben Anderson, Harrison Belcher, Buford Belcher, James Belcher, Julie Vanover, Alice Potter and Ruby Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Charlene Edwards (Kerry) of Piney Flats, TN and Jerry Earl Hollyfield (Cynthia) of Knoxville, TN; her sister Dorothy Belcher Yates of Pound, VA; her grandchildren, Keri Beth Hallberg (Brad) of Fort Mill, SC and Jerod Ra'Del Hollyfield of Hickman, TN; and her great grandchildren, Andrew Cole Hallberg of Charleston, SC, Piper Grace Hallberg and Emma Rachel Hallberg of Fort Mill, SC..
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens (5640 Powell Valley Rd, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219).
In lieu of flowers, Maxine asked that contributions be made to the Fairview Old Regular Baptist Church, 10206 Killen Hollow Road, Pound, VA 24279.
