He was predeceased by: his parents, Wentford Tompkins and Cynthia Tompkins Hollyfield (Edwards); his wife Beatrice Tompkins (Mullins); and his granddaughter Alyssa Renee Tompkins. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Thompson (Roger), Jeffrey Tompkins (Cindy-Lincolnton) and Rueben Tompkins (Charlene); his grandchildren, Bradley Tompkins, Matt Tompkins, Nicholas Tompkins, Tyler Tomkins, Elijah Tompkins, Branden Tompkins, Blake Lawson and Jade Lawson; his great grandchildren, Branson Tompkins, Jake Tompkins, Ryan Tompkins, Jaelynn Tompkins, Emery Tompkins and Jarret Tompkins; his great great grandchild Easton Radford Tompkins; and his siblings, Liz Neimeier and Johnny Tompkins (Lura). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.
