It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Elizabeth Jackson Keene of Pounding Mill, Virginia, who passed away on May 22, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Melvin Henry Jackson; her husband Junior E. Keene; her sisters, Jean Whittaker and Shirley Hess; her nephew Clayton Whittaker; and her niece Linda Lowman.
She is survived by: her mother Pearl Helen Lowe Jackson; her daughters, Cindy Whitt (Clyde) of Pounding Mill, VA and Drema Crawford (Ray) of Cedar Bluff, VA; her grandchildren, Charity Johnson (Zach), Nathan Crawford, Heather Whalen and Melody Keene (Adam); and her sister-in-law Doris Keene. She is also survived by three great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews.
