He is survived by: his mother Janet Sue Looney Yates; his wife Rita Yates; his daughter Brittany Yates (Chris LaVallee) of North Bridge, Massachusetts; his siblings, Bobby Yates (Stephanie) of Abingdon, Virginia and Alicia O'Quinn (Bobby) of Vansant, Virginia; his mother-in-law Ruby Harris of Oakwood, Virginia; and his close friends, Zeus, Bella and Toby. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
