With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara O. Proffitt of Powhatan, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 2, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Barbara shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Barbara farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert W. Proffitt; and her daughter-in-law Beverly Buckley. She is survived by: her children, Tommy Buckley, Bill Buckley (Pam), Bobby Buckley (Lynn), Scott Buckley (Cindy) and Angie Flannery; and her sister-in-law Diane Fetty. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
