He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Hughs and Rosa Amerette Rodgers Martin. He is survived by: his wife Susan Gail Berger Martin; his children, Wendy McClellan and Justin Martin; his grandchildren, Layne Puryear, Emily Ruckart, Rachel McClellan and Ava Martin; and his brother Roger Martin.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home (3215 Anderson Hwy, Powhatan, VA 23139). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Graceland Baptist Church (975 Dorset Rd, Powhatan, VA 23139). A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at the Grove Cemetery (890 Old Buckingham Rd, Cumberland, VA 23040).
