We announce the death of John Russell Hager of Powhatan, Virginia, who passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Hager; and his parents, Norman Hager and Mary Hager. He is survived by: his daughter Heather Kite (Matthew); his grandchildren, Megan Stanley (David), John Cauthen, Mason Cauthen (Krystal Settle) and Makynzie Kite; and his great grandchildren, Lilly, Theia, Amelia, Liam, Wrenley and Luke.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the American Legion Post #186 (901 Otterdale Rd, Midlothian, VA 23114).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made in John's memory to the American Legion Post #186.
