He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Wilson Atkinson, Sr. and Eva Helen O'Neil Atkinson. He is survived by: his siblings, Eva Stuart, Martha McAloon, Harry Atkinson Jr., John Atkinson, Tommy "Tiger" Atkinson and Robert Atkinson; his children, Brittany Kersch (Sean Kersch), Meghann Hedgepeth (Trevor Hedgepeth), Stacie Hartless and Cameron Crossman; his grandchildren, Dylan, Peyton, Kendall, Audrey Dolan, Conner, Harrison, Harper Hedgepeth, Taylor and Kaelyn Hartless; and his close friend Ellie Mae. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
To honor Richard's life, and his love for Belize, the family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cross Point Village Belize through Mt. Victory Baptist Church.
