He is survived by: his significant other Debbie Holland; his children, Challen Edwards, Gail Headley (Jeff Headley), Russ Holland Jr. (Anna Holland), Tony Teague, Brandon Teague (Kami Teague) and Mandy Holland (James McGuigan); his grandchildren, Carl Opauski III (Lauren Opauski), Emma Headley, Savannah Headley, Ares Cabigting (Nate Cabigting), S. J. Edwards, Caroline Edwards, Charlie Edwards, Olivia Ingalsbe (Mitch Ingalsbe), R. E. Holland (Sydnee Johnson) and Joshua Holland; and his great grandchildren, Vada Opauski and Carl Opauski IV.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the May Memorial Baptist Church (3922 Old Buckingham Rd, Powhatan, VA 23139).
