He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lee and Eleanor Glass Atkins. He is survived by: his wife Gaylor; his children, Billy Atkins (Wendy), Robin Seward (Chuck) and Brian Atkins (Stacey); his grandchildren, Crystal Lunsford (Jimmy), Shannon Krasneck (Scott), Brandon Atkins (Ryan), Chad Seward, Joseph Cutrona (Heather), Scott Seward, Dylan Atkins, Amber Maldonado (Julian) and Dalton Atkins; his great grandchildren, Ashley (Austin), Ethan, Josh Lunsford, Kayla and Lexi Krasneck; and his great great grandchildren, Scarlett and Emeri.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church.
