He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Drown and Sharon Sutton Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his sons, Christopher "CJ" (Lily) and Bruce Jr. (Heather); his sister Leigh Ann; his nephew Matthew (Sarah); his niece Ashley; his great-nieces, Penelope Jane, Kinley and Skylar; his brother-in-law Karl "Bubba" Harvey; and his close friends, Juan Goodman, David Ragsdale, Brian Schrum, Alex Williams and Gill Fontenot.
