He was predeceased by: his mother Lillian Marie Birt (Janzen); and his sister Caroll Marie Birt. He is survived by: his father Rev. Almon Birt (Kathy); his wife Lynn Lakin Birt; his daughters, Carrie Poole (Matt), Kristin Stone (Sam) and Katy Yeatts (Alex); his grandchildren, Ainsley, Kaydence, Paisley, Sawyer and Lorelei; and his siblings, Darrell Birt (Lisa), Debbie Prohaska (Bill) and Dawn Rose (Scott). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
