With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lenora Vernell Dabney of Providence Forge, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 21, 2025 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her significant other Roy Samuel Dabney; and her parents, Isaac King and Alice King. She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Brooks (Anthony); her sister Clara Williams (Spencer); her siblings-in-law, Wallace Dabney of Memphis, TN and Katherine King; her close friend Roy; and her siblings, Mary King Bullock, Isaac King, Jr., George Davis King and William King. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jerusalem Baptist Church (21180 Bagby Rd, Bowling Green, VA 22427). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
