He is survived by: his wife Vicky Wade; his children, Gwen Hatchet, Yvette Gray, Otis Wade Jr., Justin Wade, Desmond Wade Sr. and Donovan Wade; his grandchildren, Franklin Wade, Aquan Gray, Tearra Gray, Taniya Hackett, Travis Hackett, LaJoy Wade, Jamari Wade, Jaylen Wade, Nyla Wade, Jamir Wade, Gianni Wade, Desmond Wade Jr. and Nora Wade; his great grandchildren, Ja'niya, Paris, Isaiah, Reign, I, Aquan Jr. and Jaceion; his siblings, Willie Washington III (Darlene), James Jefferson (Dale), Connie Pugh and Nettie Jones (Bruce); his aunt Maddie Minns Phillips; his mother-in-law Flossie Bailey; his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Bailey, Tony Bailey (Teresa), Teresa Johns and Betty Wade; and his nieces, Crystal Robinson (John), Christine Pugh and Ernestine Minns. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge Chapel (9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Restoration Center (6205 Richmond Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188).
