He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston T. Kemp and Julia Kemp Philips; and his brother William "Billy" Kemp. He is survived by: his wife Susan A. Kemp; his son William "Andy" Kemp (Kristina); his granddaughters, Paige and Saylor; and his nephew Neale Kemp (Donna). He is also survived by many family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home, West Point Chapel (417 11th St, West Point, VA 23181). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Poroporone Baptist Church (30071 The Trail, Shacklefords, VA 23156).
