He is survived by: his wife Betty Kirby Bowery; his children, Kelly Ann Bowery, William Samuel Bowery Jr. and Roxanne Bowery Priest; his grandchildren, Riley Anne Hamlet, Madison Tate Hamlet and William Samuel Bowery III; his great grandchild Weslynn Layne Brumfield; and his cousin Franklin R Carter "Frankie".
