He was predeceased by : his parents, Waddie Bishop and Clydia Roop Altizer; and his siblings, Richard, Waddie, Jr. and Frances.

He is survived by : his wife Robalene Litchford Bishop; his sons, Michael Bishop and Shannon Bishop (Sabrina); his grandchildren, Kelsey, Samantha (Torib), Sidney and Dakota; his great grandchildren, Luke and Zoe; and his caregivers, Kendra Barrett, Carnida Barker and Angie Akers. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
