He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Roger Shumate and Joan Gail Doss Shumate. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Renee Simmons Shumate; his son Kory Mathew Shumate (Tracie); his grandson Bradley Mathew Xavier Shumate (Pulaski); and his brother-in-law Charles Simmons (Kim Conner).
