She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah Angie Goode Lefew and Chester LeFew; her husband Bruce Clifford Nelson; her siblings, J. C., Paul LeFew, Evelyn Welch and Bernice Haney; her sons, Clifford and Darrell Nelson; her sister-in-law Kathleen; her grandson Sean; her great grandchildren, Elajah and Brianna; and her nieces and nephews, Jimmy, Lawrence, Sam, Anita, Jewel and Carolyn.

She is survived by: her sons, Tim and Mark Nelson; her daughters-in-law, Mindy, Sue and Debbie; her grandchildren, John, Chance, Christopher, Dee Dee and Jenny; her nephews, Danny, Dickie, Butch, Eddie, Ricky, Andy, Harold, Curtis, Michael Neices (Lois) and Kim (Terrie); her sister-in-law Dee; her great grandchildren, Alex, Blake, Bradyn, Caden, Avacyn, Shyann, Sierra, Grace and Alyssa; her great great grandchildren, Ryder, Taylor, Alayah, Hannah and Embry; and her friends, Helen and Quessie.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kate Carper Johnson Circle at First Baptist Church, Randolph Avenue, Pulaski.
