He is survived by: his children, Ginger Cary (Scott) of Powhatan, VA, Tammy Akers of Chesterfield, VA, Valerie Faulkner (Gregg) of Mathews, VA and Anthony Akers (Jody) of Pulaski; his grandchildren, Heather Newton (Jacob), Allyson Cary (Casey), Alex Akers (Aubrie), Alaina Osteen (Grant), Ayden Akers and Aviston Akers; his great grandchildren, Jordan Cary, Jaxon Newton and Emmarie Osteen; his brother-in-law Ken FordGod (George); his extended family, Priscilla Rennie (Frank), Sam Wise (Megan), Anthony Wise (Lisa) and Alan Alexander; Maverly, Lola and Levi.
