He is survived by: his children, Stacey Gordon (Mike) and Michael Akers (Mandy); his grandchildren, Ayanna Bray (Ryan), Michala Akers, Daris Akers and Kellynn Akers; his great grandchild Matthias Kelly Akers; his friend Connie Laker; and his brothers, J. D. Akers (Jan) and George Akers.
