He was predeceased by : his parents, Willie Carlos and Elsie Dalton Cook. He is survived by : his son Rodney; his wife Susan Glovier Cook; his children, Stephanie C. Krafft (Chris) of Fort Mill, Bryan T. Cook of Pulaski and Meredith C. Novak of Salem, Virginia.; his grandsons, Malcolm, Sam, Elliott Krafft, Gavin, Mason Cook, Jack and Chase Novak; his sister Patsy C. Ashley (Kenneth, Sr.) of Newport News; his nephews, Kenneth Ashley, Jr. (Kelly) and David Ashley (Christie); his great-nephew K. Carter Ashley, III; his great-niece Ava Grace Ashley; and his pets, Kirby (German Shepherd) and Harper.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church.
