He was predeceased by: his son Walter G. Forbes (Greg); and his sister Emma Ruth Forbes Stevenson (Bob). He is survived by: his wife Nina Harris Forbes of Lynchburg; his son Richard W. Forbes; his daughter-in-law Margaret Ann Weaver Forbes; and his niece Cynthia Stevenson Flynn (Rick).
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hall Funeral Home (140 S. Nursery Ave., Purcellville, VA 20132). A burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (1131 Park St, Bedford, VA 24523).
