It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zelia Marie Lawson of Quinque, Virginia, who passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Shifflett and Mary Frances Shifflett; her husband Haywood J. Lawson; and her siblings, Mary Snow, Madeline Morris, Rachel Snow, Wilbert Shifflett and Clarence Shifflett.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kim Lawson Strong (Bill) and Joy Lawson Woolard (Allen); her sisters, Dottie Whitt (Al) and Bertha Adams (Gene); her grandchildren, Jenny Strong Hofler (Chip), Mitchell William Strong (Jess), Kristen Woolard Kent (Dan) and Hannah Elizabeth Woolard; and her great grandchildren, Callie Belle Hofler, Ryder Hayes Hofler, Scarlett Jewell Hofler and Addison Marie Strong (Addie).
