It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Ann Akers Vaughn (Radford, Virginia), who passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Howard and Edna Reed Akers; her husband Walter W. Vaughn; her granddaughters, Jessica Vaughn and Michelle Shelton Fulcher; and her siblings, Bill, Bob, Shirl, Ray, Richard Akers, Claudine Poff, Lynn Hughes, Peggy Reed and Doretta Shorter.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Wayne (Christina Vaughn), Guy "Terry" (Chriss Vaughn), David Leon (Sharon Vaughn) and Danny Lee (Sherry Vaughn); her grandchildren, Kimberly, Ariel, Stevie, Erika, Justin, Zach and Theresa; and her sister-in-law Helen Akers. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
