He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur James Porter and Amelia Mitchell Porter; his stepmother Margaret; and his brother-in-law Keith Rusted. He is survived by: his wife Linda Clifford of Radford; his children, Mike Porter (Jennifer) of Georgetown, Texas and Rebecca Johnson (Andrew) of Hattiesburg, Miss.; his sister Elaine Rusted; his nephews, David of Leighton Buzzard and Neil Rusted of Leighton Buzzard; his grandchildren, Zachery Porter Samantha (Kassidy), Addison Porter, Rigley Porter, Brandon Lavelle Yawn, Lillian Grace Yawn and Regan Michael Yawn; his great grandchildren, Edward Clifford, Jr. and Christina Scott; Trevor Ford, Hanna Scott and Reina Scott.
