He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Patsy Reese (Hipes), Guy Day Hartless Jr. and Linda Mull Hartless; his mother Chelsea; and his children, Braylee Day Reese and Clay Wayne Reese.
He is survived by: his stepfather William E. McComas; his siblings, Cody W. Harris (September), Sadie P. McComas of Raphine and Sophie L. McComas of Raphine; his grandfather James "Wayne" Reese of Greenville; his stepgrandparents, Jeanne P. Shannon and William Lane McComas (Pat); and his cousins, Justin and Michael David. He is also survived by numerous other aunts, uncles, and, cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Raphine Christian Church (5131 Lee Jackson Hwy, Greenville, VA 24440). A burial will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery (6410 Lee Jackson Hwy, Steeles Tavern, VA 24472).
