He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Daniel Dye and Cora Lou Noel Dye; his daughter Farry Lou Dye Owens; and his brothers, Jack Dye and Jim Monroe Dye.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Magdalene Dye; his children, Sarah Ann Lawrie (Stuart) of Lebanon and Gary Donald Dye (Sara Jo) of Wytheville, Virginia; his half-sister Pearl Ruth Dye; and his granddaughter Emily Hunt.
