He was predeceased by : his father James Shelton; and his brother Bobby Shelton. He is survived by : his wife Melissa Shelton; his mother Linda Shelton of Doran, VA; his son James Shelton; and his siblings, George Shelton (Charlotte) of Wardell, VA, Larry "Doc" Shelton (Sherry) of Peterstown, WV, Teresa Reynolds of Honaker, VA and Rita McClanahan of Doran, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
