He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Shelton and Laura Ann Hurt Shelton; his wife Shirley Shelton; his sisters, Connie Hill and Trula Ann Dye; his grandmother Gay Hess (Barbara Dye); and his brother Michael Shelton.
He is survived by: his sisters, Debbie Johnson (Wayne) of Abingdon, Virginia and Sandra Shelton (Ken); and his brother-in-law James Dye, Sr. (Geraldine) of Richlands.
