He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Pickett (Bill) of Reedville and Ginny Ashton (Chris) of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Tinslie Sprague (Michael), Hunter Pickett, Jack Pickett, Luke Pickett and Ellie Ashton; his great grandchildren, Randall Sprague and Sadie Sprague; his siblings-in-law, Anne Hamlett, Wanda Hamlett, Peggy Staples, Stephen Hamlett and Jeffrey Hamlett; his friends, Pete Haynie, Wayne Andresen, Edison Beane (Sommai), Maridel Beane Lee (Jessie) and Maurice Beane; his pet Roxy; his caregivers, Avis Young, Jean Lee, Terry Pollard, Evelyn Crockett, Doretha Weldon, Whitney Mitchell and Kay Weldon; and his sisters, Amy and Ginny.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bethany United Methodist Church (454 Main St, Reedville, VA 22539). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Fairfields Volunteer Fire Department.
