He was predeceased by: his parents, Jackson Horton and Nancy Kaiser Horton; and his parents-in-law, Harry and Mary Zahn. He is survived by: his wife Karen Horton; his children, Lesley Horton Bottiglier (Adam) and Scott Horton (Emily); his grandson Clark Horton; his sisters, Connie Moynihan (David) and Melissa Cory (Chuck); and his brother-in-law William Zahn (Virginia). He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
