He was predeceased by: his parents, R. Benjamin Lumsden and Gladys Kube Lumsden of Rhoadesville; his wife Lorene Breeden Lumsden; his brothers, Roy and Maxey Lumsden; and also, Gloria Craun and Brenda Crooker.
He is survived by: his sister Alva Rhea Lumsden Cooper; his children, Connie Lumsden Jensen (Dan Null), Carol Lumsden Denning (Dale), Cecilia Lumsden Sinclair (Bruce Finney) and Robert Cecil "Pete" Lumsden (Denise Lumsden); and his grandchildren, Matthew (Lauren), Timothy Sinclair (Emily), Eric (Angie), Bailey Jensen and Brooke Hill (Brad). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery (28123 Constitution Hwy, Rhoadesville, VA 22542). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Salem United Methodist Church (28123 Constitution Hwy, Rhoadesville, VA 22542).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund will be appreciated.
